Leading Indicators Raise Questions... Again.

The Conference Board's Leading Economic Indicators (LEI) report for November fell yet again and remains in recession territory. The only indicator up in November was the S&P 500. Here are the charts:

Meanwhile, the Atlanta Fed's GDPNow is still forecasting relatively strong 2.4% growth in the fourth quarter of 2023.

What's it going to be? Growth or recession? I don't think anyone knows for sure.
